Kimball received a Master’s Degree in psychiatric mental health nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is certified as an Advanced Clinical Specialist in psychiatric mental health nursing. She has worked in mental health nursing for 23 years, including three years as a faculty member in Mental Health Nursing at UNC-Chapel Hill. She established a private counseling practice in 1995 at her current location of 3410 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC. She specializes in secrets, family relationships, gender issues, stress-related depression and anxiety, and elderly issues. She provides counseling and therapy to individuals, couples, and groups.
